Dr. Garrett's Story
Shirley B. Garrett, Psy.D, has a doctorate in psychology and is a three-time Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Finalist in the thriller and action-adventure categories She uses her 28 years of experience in the areas of mental health and substance abuse to enrich and add authenticity to her plots and characters. She began writing in earnest when she closed her private practice in December of 2012. She lives in North Alabama and enjoys reading, ballroom dancing, and hiking with her husband, Bob. She honors her past pets by writing them into her fiction novels.

Dr. Garrett is a professional speaker and is available to speak at your events. She loves to speak at book clubs, public librarys, and conferences.
